Who doesn’t love a good graphic novel about time travel? I certainly do. Project Nought by Chelsea Furedi started as a webcomic and was published this year.
Living in 1996, Ren is a lonely guy with only one friend, a pen pal named Georgia he’s never met. When he finds out his mom is going to send him away for the summer, he decides he’s going to try and meet her. He never gets the chance because while on a bus to get there, he falls, gets knocked out, and wakes up in the year 2122. Chronotech has brought him and other “subjects” from 1996 to on a time travel exchange, so others can learn about and from them. Ren and the other subjects have mixed feelings about being far away (time-wise) from home, but decide to make the best of it. However, things are not as they appear, and Chronotech’s intentions aren’t great….
Such a fun graphic novel, with a twist I definitely didn’t see coming. For 7th grade and up.
